There are still a couple of weeks left to take in the lights while checking out the sights of Niagara Falls.

Now under way in its 29^th season, the CAA Winter Festival of Lights features more than 125 animated lighting displays and three million tree and ground lights that cast a colourful glow on the Niagara Parks Winter Wonderland.  The festival, which runs to January 31, also keeps visitors entertained with fireworks shows over the Falls every Friday night, entertainment at various venues and the family-favourite TD Rink at the Brink, where skaters can hit the ice outdoors within view of the Falls.

2012 will be a big year for the Sheraton on the Falls.  The hotel will unveil 3 exciting new developments designed to enhance a stay.

Windows by Jamie Kennedy

Celebrated Chef Jamie Kennedy will open what is sure to be the most relevant dining experience Niagara has to offer.  Windows by Jamie Kennedy will bring Kennedy’s iconic devotion to farm to table philosophies and sustainable kitchen practises to Niagara in this unique new restaurant.  Located on the fallsview dining level of the Sheraton, Windows will feature a fresh market menu that combines classic French cuisine with farm to table practises.  Each menu selection has been designed to showcase local farms/products and will feature a suggested pairing from Tony Aspler, Canada’s foremost authority on wine.  The restaurant is expected to open in February.

The Spa

Every Spa experience is a journey…a passageway to a world of tranquility and relaxation.  Signature sights, scents and sounds combine to create a soothing atmosphere, while exclusive treatments and products will leave guests feeling pampered.

The Lounge

Room service is a wonderful thing, but taking in the excitement of the lobby is even better.  Guests will soon be able to enjoy a beverage of their choice in our new lounge.  Located in the lobby and adjacent to Starbucks, the lounge will offer a community environment complete with big screen TV’s so you can catch the big game. The lounge will open in late January.

It’s that time again, to lace up the skates and catch some phenomenal sights at the same time.

The TD Rink at the Brink is back in action, allowing visitors to enjoy a skate on an outdoor, open-air rink overlooking the majestic Horseshoe Falls.

A favourite with visitors who like to embrace the best of winter, the Rink at the Brink is open from Dec. 1 to Feb. 29, 2012.

After getting a truly Canadian taste of winter on the ice, the CAA Winter Festival of Lights – running through the end of January – provides a long list of entertainment and attractions for visitors to continue the winter wonderland experience.
