Niagara Falls’ Festival of Lights escape still a bright idea Festival of Lights escape still a bright idea Festival of Lights escape still a bright idea

Friday, January 20th, 2012

There are still a couple of weeks left to take in the lights while checking out the sights of Niagara Falls.

Now under way in its 29th season, the CAA Winter Festival of Lights features more than 125 animated lighting displays and three million tree and ground lights that cast a colourful glow on the Niagara Parks Winter Wonderland.  The festival, which runs to January 31, also keeps visitors entertained with fireworks shows over the Falls every Friday night, entertainment at various venues and the family-favourite TD Rink at the Brink, where skaters can hit the ice outdoors within view of the Falls.

Sheraton on the Falls proudly participates in 'Earth Hour'

Wednesday, March 24th, 2010

The hotel is participating in this year’s Earth Hour, which takes place at March 27, 2010 at 8:30pm (20:30).  Here at the Sheraton on the Falls we will be sure to do all that we can to reduce energy consumption during that hour.

“On March 27 at 8:30 pm, hundreds of millions of people around the world will turn off their lights for an hour to demand action on climate change. But that’s just the beginning. Every hour, Canadians are taking small steps to lessen their impact on the environment. From hanging your clothes to dry to taking transit to work, those small steps add up to huge changes for the better. Get inspired by others who are living Earth Hour every hour, and tell us your story.”

The Sheraton on the Falls will be posting signs in the Main Lobby informing guests of our efforts and what they can to to be involved.  Stay tuned for details on what steps will be taken to make this hour a success.
