Niagara Falls is going green for St. Patrick’s Day with a number of exciting events and celebrations happening throughout the city on Friday March 17th. Here are some of the best places to check out if you’ll be in Niagara for this popular Irish festival:
Niagara Brewing Company on Clifton Hill is hosting exciting St. Patrick’s Day festivities that will include great craft beer, delicious food, and live music. You can also stop by Doc Magilligan’s Irish Pub and Restaurant on Lundy’s Lane for an authentic Irish party featuring beer and drinks, live music, Irish dancers, and traditional Irish food specials.
You can also head down to the Horseshoe Falls on the night of March 17th and see it illuminated in bright green lights for fifteen minutes at the top of the hour from 9pm to 1am. This special green illumination is part of a “global greening” initiative that has a number of the world’s most recognizable landmarks lit up in green lights. This includes the Colosseum in Rome, Empire State Building in New York City, Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro, and more.
The Skylon Tower in Niagara Falls is also “going green” and will be illuminated in green lights to add some St. Patrick’s Day flair to the city’s sparkling skyline. So when night falls on March 17th, make sure to check out the special green illumination by walking down by the Falls or taking in the view from a spectacular Fallsview hotel room.
Gather up your green gear and get into the Irish spirit this March by joining the exciting St. Patrick’s Day celebrations in Niagara Falls.
