Five Festivals to Attend This Spring and Summer in Niagara
Springlicious is one of Niagara Falls’ most popular festivals, drawing crowds of over 30,000 people to Queen Street in downtown Niagara Falls to experience live music, great food and drinks, local beer and wine, and exciting vendors and attractions. It’s a lively street festival that the whole family will enjoy, taking place in the heart of Niagara Falls from June 1st-3rd.
Niagara Falls Ribfest
One of the tastiest festivals to come to the area, Niagara Falls Ribfest is the place to find delicious ribs, along with other great food and drinks from a number of awesome vendors. Running from June 15th-17th at the Niagara Square Shopping Centre on McLeod Road, the festival will also offer live entertainment all weekend and will be an outdoor summer experience you won’t want to miss.
Niagara Homegrown Wine Festival
The Niagara Region is known around the world for its incredible vineyards and wineries, and from June 16th-17th, you can head to Niagara Falls wine country and indulge in samples of new wines from over 40 participating wineries across the region. Sip your way into summer at the Niagara Homegrown Wine Festival and taste for yourself what makes these wines so special.
Nothing says summer in Niagara quite like the local peach harvest, and to celebrate the occasion Niagara-on-the-Lake hosts an annual and much-anticipated Peach Festival. This year’s Peach Festival is being held August 11th-12th on Queen Street in Niagara-on-the-Lake and will offer guests the chance to buy fresh peaches from local growers, delicious peachy creations from local bakeries and restaurants and also experience sidewalk merchants and vendors, live music, and street performers.
Niagara Folk Arts Festival 2018
From May 3rd-27th, this year’s Niagara Folk Arts Festival will be held at the Folk Arts Multicultural Centre in St. Catharines. This special heritage festival celebrates multiculturalism with a number of cultural communities welcoming you to experience the food, music, art, and traditions of their culture. There will be dance shows, exhibitions, live entertainment, food, and so much more, and you have a few weeks in May in which you can take it all in.
