Victoria Day is a Canadian public holiday celebrated on the Monday before May 25th in honour of Queen Victoria’s birthday. It’s a holiday that has been observed in Canada since 1845 and is a time for people to celebrate the beginning of summer all across the country. Niagara Parks is kicking off its 25th year of the Niagara Falls Fireworks Series this Victoria Day long weekend, and is celebrating this special anniversary all season long with an expanded fireworks schedule of 111 shows, including daily fireworks throughout the summer.
This year’s shows will be running:
- May 18 – June 17 – Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holiday Mondays
- June 18 – September 3 – Daily
- September 7 – October 8 – Weekends (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and holiday Mondays
All fireworks displays take place at 10pm and are subject to weather conditions. The fireworks are launched from a unique site within the Niagara Gorge and light up the sky over the magnificent Horseshoe Falls. You can best take in the spectacle from the Niagara Parkway, Queen Victoria Park, Table Rock Welcome Centre, or a Fallsview hotel room.
